Her most well-known role is her starring performance as Anne Shirley on the CBC/Netflix Drama series Anne with an E. The show was inspired by Lucy Maud Montgomery's novel Anne of Green Gables from 1908. Amybeth McNulty is the only child of Canadian and Irish parents.
